Hypnotherapy is a time-tested technology for helping you create optimal health, and an empowered life.

In addition to being a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Elke Kappner is also a trained Physical Therapist. She studied in Germany prior to journeying to the U.S. via Australia. She extends the gift of deep empathy, presence and intuitive support while serving as a catalyst for life-changing transformation.

Elke supports her clients to develop healthy behaviors and make better decisions by learning about the mind-heart connection, and understanding ones underlying motivations and desires. What Is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural and deeply relaxed state, which allows communication between the conscious and subconscious mind. The subconscious governs the memory, imagination, beliefs and emotions which drive behaviors. It also regulates the functioning of the body. By having more clarity and understanding about the inter-connection between the mind and body, clients become aware of their inner resources to make powerful choices that promote health, well-being and happiness.


Stress & Hypnosis

Research shows that 60% – 80% of diseases are caused by stress (“fight or flight” response in the body.) During stress mode the autonomic nervous system suppresses the immune, digestive and reproductive systems. This puts tremendous pressure on the health and natural healing capabilities of the body. By contrast, during hypnosis, the body operates through the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation mode,) allowing all systems to balance and rejuvenate. Clients regularly report feeling a true sense of rest and relaxation, thereby experiencing greater health and vitality.

Am I hypnotizable?

Yes. We all go into a trance every day without realizing it. Hypnosis is simply an alpha wave brain state that can be experienced by anyone.


Will I be unconscious during hypnosis?

No. You are always conscious – in fact, hypnosis puts you in contact with both the conscious and subconscious mind simultaneously. You can hear everything (often more clearly!) and you can even open your eyes and talk while still in trance. Hypnotic trance is very pleasurable and often causes profound relaxation.


Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No. Your free will always remains intact and so will your moral code. In fact, in hypnosis you gain control because you have direct access to far greater faculties of your own mind. You can think clearly and will remember the content of the session. You can easily come out of hypnosis at any time you desire.


How many sessions does it take to reach a goal or resolve an issue?

Using the tools of hypnosis and NLP, most clients experience significant change, allowing them to reach their goals or resolve their issues in one to six sessions. Three sessions is recommended to solidify new ideas and behaviors.
